A new standard in drone accuracy
New RTK module
A new RTK module is integrated directly into the Phantom 4 RTK, providing real-time, centimetre-level positioning data for improved absolute accuracy on image metadata. Sitting just beneath the RTK receiver is a redundant GNSS module, installed to maintain flight stability in signal-poor regions such as dense cities.
Precise image data
Capture the best image data with a one-inch, 20 megapixel CMOS sensor. The mechanical shutter means that the Phantom 4 RTK can move while taking pictures without the risk of rolling shutter blur. Due to the high resolution, the drone can achieve a Ground Sample Distance of 2.74cm at 100 meters flight altitude.
GS RTK app
New GS RTK app lets pilots to control the drone with two planning modes – Photogrammetry and Waypoint Flight – plus a more traditional flight mode. Pilots are able to select the drone’s flight path while adjusting overlap rate, speed, camera parameters and more. There is also an alarm to warn of adverse conditions.
New TimeSync system aligns the flight controller, camera and RTK module. TimeSync ensures each photo uses the most accurate metadata and fixes the positioning data to the centre of the CMOS – optimising the results from photogrammetric methods and letting the image achieve centimetre-level positioning data.
The OcuSync Transmission System allows you to enjoy stable and reliable HD image and video transmission at distances of up to 7km, great for mapping larger sites. The Phantom 4 RTK is also compatible with the DJI Mobile SDK, opening up its functions to automation and customisation through a mobile device.
Fit the Phantom 4 RTK to any workflow, with the ability to connect this positioning system to the D-RTK 2 Mobile Station (more information below), NTRIP (Network Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) using a 4G dongle or WiFi hotspot, or store the satellite observation data to be used for PPK.

There's a built-in high gain antenna which gives the maximum chance for clear signal reception.
It supports the following signals: GPS; GLONASS; Beidou; and GALILEO.
Supported communication methods for the D-RTK 2 Mobile Station include 4G, OcuSync, WiFi and LAN. This ensures that whatever the scenario, you have the very best chance of achieving stable data transmission.
The D-RTK 2 also allows up to 5 remote controls to be connected at once, making complex missions with multiple drones a possibility.
The D-RTK 2 Mobile Station is IP67 rated giving protection from dust and short-term water immersion, while a lightweight carbon fibre construction means the D-RTK 2 can be ready anywhere and is extremely easy to transport to any site.
Integrated IMUs monitor movements and can alert the operator if there are abnormalities during operation.
Differences between PPK and RTK mode?
RTK and PPK are two different kinematics technologies that reference data in different ways. Although PPK generally has slightly higher positioning accuracy than RTK, both achieve centimetre-level precision. RTK is recommended for users flying in environments that allow for real-time connection via OcuSync or 4G and prefer convenience and efficiency. For users who have no demand on timeliness and/or need to operate in conditions without connectivity, PPK is a better option.
