Generate Business & Traffic in any Retail Environment

DLK Photo have recently been working with the Henderson Group. Last year they installed biometric passport systems into six of the Henderson Post Office stores. In April this year they installed DNP photo kiosks into six of the Henderson Eurospar stores. This involved installation, staff training and support. The kiosks are now working successfully for the stores offering photographic services to customers and increasing revenue.

The DNP photo kiosk is a perfect match for a busy convenience store. It offers a wide range of services to their customers from photo printing in many sizes, including panoramic prints, photo calendars and photo gift cards. Included in the kiosk is the option to offer biometric passport photos, id and driving licences photos.

The project was organised by DLK Photo Sales Executive, Philip Malloy. Philip went down to the Donegal Road Eurospar store to chat to the Post Office Manager Donna Chambers and the Store Manager Joanne Walker.

Donna was asked what the response from staff and customers to the new Kiosk was. Donna said “as a community store we like to offer as many services to our customers as possible and as a Post Office the ability to offer a photographic service for passport applications was seen as a service we should offer.”

Joanne Walker the store manager was asked did the new services bring in extra business. Joanne said “the service has brought in new passport and photo ID business along with getting customers coming back for photo print services and when they are in store they purchase additional items.”

When asked if the business was growing on a weekly basis Joanne said “more customers are using the Kiosk every week and the volume is increasing on all photo products with Passport and ID photos doing very well, along with all the other services.”

DLK Photo Sales Executive, Philip said “The DNP kiosk is a low value capital investment under £2500 or leased for £12 per week. With such a low investment and average store can generate excess of £6600 net profit per annum. This makes it a great addition to any busy retail store.”
